Position Summary:
Motion is seeking a dynamic, results-driven National Account Executive to identify, engage, and close new business opportunities. This role is responsible for driving revenue by selling our SaaS-based solutions into the BAS space. The ideal candidate has strong consultative sales skills, is technically conversant in industry protocols like BACnet and Modbus, and understands how to navigate complex sales cycles with building operators, contractors, and decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively prospect and generate new business opportunities in target markets.
- Lead discovery calls and deliver compelling product presentations tailored to client environments.
- Consult with prospects on their current BAS infrastructure and demonstrate how Motion’s platform can deliver measurable improvements—including retrofit scenarios.
- Manage the full sales cycle from initial contact to contract execution.
- Follow Motion’s strategic selling methodology based on Customer Centric Selling.
- Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales quotas and KPIs.
- Maintain accurate forecasting and CRM hygiene to track all pipeline activity.
- Collaborate with Solutions Engineering and Customer Success teams to ensure a smooth handoff and high customer satisfaction.
- Stay current on BAS trends, technologies, and market demands.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of successful B2B sales experience, preferably in SaaS or BAS-related industries.
- Strong understanding of Building Automation Systems (BAS), HVAC systems, and energy management.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as BACnet and Modbus is a significant plus.
- Proven ability to deliver technical presentations and respond to in-depth industry questions.
- Comfortable engaging with both technical and executive-level stakeholders.
- Ability to understand and articulate how SaaS platforms can be integrated into existing infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills.
- Self-starter with a track record of exceeding sales targets.
