Motion gives building owners and vendors the ability to delegate data sets, control capabilities, alarms, and other meaningful permissions to a wide range of end users. This secure hierarchy was designed to meet your customer’s organizational objectives and provide end users (customers or vendors) with the exact building functionality and data that is needed.
CUSTOMER EXAMPLE: Motion is installed in a 22-story mixed-use skyscraper that contains office, multi-family residential, and a restaurant on the first floor. Motion talks to this building’s BAS and a range of Modbus TCP wireless sensors. The controls integrator utilized Motion to develop a close relationship with the building owner. This building owner requested that the installer delegates exclusive access to individual tenants, staff, O&M teams, and portfolio stakeholders with monitoring/control capabilities within our cloud.
- Owners and portfolio stakeholders have access to all of the critical data, alerts, etc. that are most meaningful to them
- HVAC service vendors, building engineers and operators have access to remotely monitor/control HVAC plants and systems in the building(s) from a single pane of glass – for multiple buildings in the portfolio
- O&M teams receive alerts and can monitor a select set of system data that helps optimize day-to-day responsibilities
- Commercial and residential tenants have the ability to monitor/control a select set of devices (i.e thermostats, lighting, access control) that pertain to their units
- Restaurant owner/staff has the ability to monitor/control restaurant specific applications (refrigeration, temperature control, access control, etc)
Ultimately, Motion did not replace the installed BAS. It provided the installer with an offering that aligns its customer’s building objectives with the BAS that the customer invested in.
We give you the tools needed to efficiently build out dashboards that are tailored to your customer’s organizational objectives. Best part about it, the platform’s device/point discovery can be performed within seconds. Dashboards can be built-out, enhanced, or modified without ever being on site.
